Which elbow lasts longest?

There is no universal answer. Material, velocity, geometry, temperature and construction determine the result.

Is a long-radius bend always better?

No. Radius affects particle trajectories, pressure behavior, space and wall contact.

Are ceramic-lined and ceramic-backed elbows the same?

No. A lining is inside the flow path. A ceramic back is external reinforcement over the expected wear zone.

Does PN16 mean the elbow is rated for 16 bar?

A flange designation alone does not establish the rating of the complete elbow. Obtain the assembly’s stated pressure and temperature limits.

Can I select using pipe nominal size?

Nominal size is only a starting point. Confirm outside diameter, clear bore, wall thickness and connection dimensions.
